Logo Faves

http://logofaves.com/

Logo faves is a good source of logo design that scans through designer portfolio and posts the best logos on the site. It works well to bring different cutting edge logo design together in one place for inspiration.

These are two logos that caught my eye recently.
The human logo is bold helvetica, but with execellent use of the negative space, a sperm has been added to the a-n. Its clean yet slightly humourous to look at, and is memorable, it is clever while keeping things simple and clean, and would work in any colour composition.

The big shift logo was noted because it reflects a small trend ive seen with a few logos in which the colour is shifted like a 3d effect to give the logo a shifting feel, it doesnt quite sit right with the eye, but this makes it more memorable. It obviously depends on being full colour, but its a creative effect that used in the right place can make a logo seem different from the norm. I think the kerning of the big could be slightly smaller but it does allow the big to have its own space without being drowned out by the bold shift. The choice to have the big small and the shift big is also playful and the reverse of the norm.
